Gemini Buildings: a poem dedicated to the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001
by Tricia Larose Vicedomine

Gemini Buildings

Gemini buildings fell that day
Dust bellowed from the ground

To ash, went souls ,and thousands mourned
Chirped lifeless firemen's sound.

Arise we, with a strength anewed
Too many heroic themes

To rest our dead, among the sorrows
Of patriots shining beams

To end the world ... of tragedy,
Of terror, across the land

Came purpose to oppose its plight
We all united stand

As gray, the day love perished
Will not control our will

To end all hopeless factions
And brave the day, until

Our worldly deeds unite as one
to strengthen in our love

For peace, shall set tomorrow's stage
With help from God above.
