Reston, Virginia

About 15 miles from the Washington, D.C., Reston stands out as a planned community. It has lakes, swimming pools, trees, nature paths, golf courses, various seasonal events, convenient shopping villages and restaurants, the unique Reston Town Center and a community spirit that makes Reston a special place to live.

Housing in Reston is widely varied. There are single family homes, townhouses, condominiums, waterfront homes, homes on the golf courses and homes that back up to woods and nature paths. Home prices generally range from around $50,000 up to over $1 million.

[image] Reston was named after Robert E. Simon (his initials, RES), a man who had a dream of a community that had a natural environment with trees and lakes and pathways that would make it hard to remember that you were living in a nationally recognized business magnet. The reality of that dream is obvious to those who live in Reston and those who have come to visit friends, family or dropped by the Reston Visitors Center just to look around.

More coming soon.
